Artisan Electrician Jobs

Job Description

We are looking for an Artisan Electrician to maintain the effectiveness of equipment and plants on site, including electrical support. Key responsibilities include:

• Anticipating possible machine reliability issues and taking action to ensure manufacturing continues smoothly.
• Leading problem-solving processes and suggesting improvements to the maintenance team leader.
• Recording and analyzing breakdown trends using a maintenance system to support equipment upgrades or purchases.
• Supporting ad hoc projects, such as renovating and refurbishing machines or installations to optimize process flow.
• Ensuring compliance with Food Safety, Health Safety, and GMP requirements through proper process and document controls according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Providing on-the-job coaching for handymen and apprentices as needed, in line with Premier’s leadership principles.
• Supervising, training, and coaching technical operators on SOPs and work instructions to promote best practices.

Qualification Requirements

• Matric
• N4 Qualification in a relevant field
• Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal)

Experience Requirements

• 3-5 years in a relevant trade
• 3 years in an FMCG environment
• Experience with high-speed continuous operations
