Senior Labour Relations Officer Jobs

Requirements:

• A Matric certificate plus a National Diploma or Degree in Labour Relations or Human Resources Management, recognized by SAQA.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in Labour Relations.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Skills and Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of Labour Relations, Human Resource Management, Public Service Legislative Frameworks, Collective Agreements, and PSCBC Resolutions.
• Knowledge of the Persal System, Organisational Design, transformation, and its challenges.
• Strategic capability and leadership, programme and project management, negotiation skills, conflict management, financial and knowledge management.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, report writing skills, and a positive attitude.

Duties:

• Provide advisory services to management, employees, and trade union officials on Labour Relations matters.
• Implement Labour Relations strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Apply Departmental Labour Relations policies, procedures, and circulars related to grievances, discipline, abscondments, and suspensions, in line with Public Service Frameworks.
• Coordinate, implement, review, and improve the handling of disciplinary processes.
• Coordinate and facilitate grievance processes.
• Coordinate and facilitate dispute resolution mechanisms during conciliation and arbitration, including collective bargaining.
