Introduction

This role involves providing pharmaceutical care services within your scope of practice and handling day-to-day dispensary tasks according to the company’s standard operating procedures. The focus is on managing scripts and general dispensing duties to ensure patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers professionally and maintain strict confidentiality within standard procedures and timelines.
  • Handle script administration and any related claiming or capturing tasks.
  • Manage all patient profiles accurately and completely.
  • Communicate with healthcare professionals when necessary.
  • Solve problems and follow up on queries.

Duties

  • Assist customers by phone or other methods regarding medication and healthcare services.
  • Capture scripts accurately at the central pharmacy.
  • Handle prescription-related queries.
  • Manage patient profiles.
  • Help with chronic medication authorizations.
  • Work with other departments as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks based on operational needs.

Knowledge Required

  • Knowledge of products, including over-the-counter items.
  • Understanding of SAPC regulations and relevant laws.
  • Familiarity with chronic authorization processes and procedures.
  • Customer service focus.
