Job Description

Job Objectives:

  • To efficiently handle all operational activities at the point of sale in a timely manner.
  • To keep high levels of accuracy when scanning items and collecting payment, including clubcard rewards.
  • To handle cash safely at all times.
  • To promote the Clicks clubcard and sign up new members to meet participation targets.
  • To inform customers about promotions to boost sales and help them feel good while paying less.
  • To provide top customer service by acting as a brand ambassador, being visible, and offering friendly, professional help.
  • To carry out merchandising and housekeeping duties according to store and visual standards.
  • To support the group’s vision to be the top choice for health and beauty by living the company values.
  • To stay updated on products, ranges, promotions, and events to give customers the right information.

Knowledge:

  • Basic math calculations.
  • Retail or FMCG background and understanding of merchandising and promotions.
  • Understanding of stock management procedures.
  • Knowledge of excellent customer service.

Minimum Requirements

Experience:

  • Desirable: Experience in a customer-facing role in a retail or FMCG store operations environment.

Education:

  • Essential: Grade 12.
  • Desirable: Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level.
