Job Title: Deputy Director: Internal Control

Job Details:

• Type: Full Time
• Qualification: Bachelors or Matric
• Experience: 3 years
• Location: North West
• Field: Finance / Accounting / Audit

Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) Certificate plus a three-year auditing qualification or equivalent (NQF 7).
• Three years of middle management experience in a related field.
• Auditing experience with completed articles is an advantage.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

• Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, Public Service Regulations, and Supply Chain Management Framework.
• Up-to-date with developments in these areas.
• Strong communication, computer, writing, accounting, and auditing skills.

Duties:

• Develop and monitor standard operating procedures, policies, and controls to ensure compliance.
• Identify risks in financial management and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage processes to detect, prevent, and report losses, wasteful, or irregular expenditure.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure improvement plans are implemented.
• Manage fraud and loss controls.
• Handle the retention of financial records.
