Requirements:
To qualify for these positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A National Senior Certificate, Grade 12, Standard 10, or NCV Level 4.
- An appropriate National Diploma or Degree in Secretarial Studies, Management Assistant, Office Management and Technology, or a related qualification.
- At least 3 months of experience in secretarial services.

- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and prescripts.
- Basic understanding of financial management.
- Skills in record management for documents.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with people from different levels and backgrounds.
- Excellent telephone etiquette.
- Computer literacy, including typing at a speed of 65 words per minute.
- Sound organizational abilities.
- Good interpersonal skills and high reliability.
- Basic written communication skills.
- Ability to handle situations with tact and discretion.
- Professional grooming and presentation.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Duties:
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing comprehensive secretarial and receptionist support to the manager. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the manager’s diary by recording appointments and events.
- Typing documents and correspondence for the manager.
- Offering clerical support, such as arranging meetings and events for the manager and unit staff.
- Processing travel and subsistence claims on behalf of the manager.
- Recording minutes during meetings attended by the manager, when required.
- Handling filing of documents for the manager and the unit as needed.
- Receiving, recording, and distributing all incoming and outgoing documents.
- Collecting relevant documents and information to help the manager prepare for meetings.

You can obtain the Z83 form from any Public Service department, the Maluti TVET College Corporate Office, or download it from the official college website at www.malutitvet.co.za.
The Z83 form must be fully completed, signed, initialed, and dated. Ensure that all sections A, B, C, and D are filled out completely. For sections E, F, and G, due to limited space, you may refer to your CV or attachments. However, you must answer the question in Part F regarding conditions that could prevent re-appointment.
Do not submit copies of your qualifications or other documents with your initial application. Instead, provide only the completed Z83 form and a detailed curriculum vitae (CV). If you are shortlisted, you will need to bring certified copies of your qualifications and relevant documents to the interview, as instructed by HR.
Foreign qualifications must include a SAQA evaluation report. Immigrants are required to obtain work permits before starting the job. Each advertised post requires its own separate application.
