Job Description

The Youth Employment Service (YES) is a public-private initiative led by the Presidency to tackle youth unemployment in South Africa. Eskom is offering work opportunities for unemployed youth, following the BBBEE guidelines. We welcome young South Africans eager to start their careers to gain valuable experience in the energy sector.

If you meet the requirements, this is your chance for a life-changing first work experience. Successful candidates will receive a 12-month contract in the Debt Management department.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

  • South African citizen
  • Aged between 18 and 34
  • Grade 12 certificate, including Mathematics, Physical Science, and Accounting
  • No previous work experience

Selection Criteria:

  • Not employed permanently with any single employer for more than one year continuously
  • Not studying full-time in the year of employment
  • Not previously participated in or registered for the YES initiative
  • Applicants will undergo a recruitment process. Successful candidates will be placed in Eskom’s Operations across the cluster.
