Job Purpose
This role supports clients with complex requirement analysis, systems configuration, implementation, and support for SAP modules. It uses consulting skills, business knowledge, and SAP experience to integrate SAP technology into the client’s business for better results.
The role also helps maintain efficient production, quality assurance, and testing environments through SAP Basis platform installation, design, implementation, and support to meet organizational goals.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualification and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Information Technology and 5-7 years’ experience in an SAP Basis environment, including 2-3 years at a technically skilled level.
OR
- Senior Certificate (NQF 4) and relevant IT qualifications/certifications, plus 5-7 years’ experience in an SAP Basis environment, including 2-3 years at a technically skilled level. Additional requirements may apply as specified.

- Senior Certificate (NQF 4) and 10 years’ experience in SAP Basis, including 2-3 years at a technically skilled level.
Minimum Functional Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience in an SAP environment, ideally 2-3 years as an SAP Basis specialist.
- 5 years’ experience and knowledge of key integration points between SAP modules.
- Experience and knowledge of SAP Basis and integrations between SAP modules.
- Relevant SAP Basis training or certification.
- Relevant SAP Basis analysis and configuration experience.

- Support SAP application implementations with technical expertise and advice on SAP products.
- Analyze business processes and configure solutions based on best practices.
- Act as a liaison for troubleshooting SAP issues and mapping client requirements to solutions.
- Resolve incidents for severity 2 and 3 issues and assist with business escalations.
- Maintain knowledge of the organization and follow all standards.
- Communicate policies and procedures to stakeholders and employees.
