Minimum Requirements
- A National Diploma in IT (NQF level 6) or an equivalent qualification.
- Certifications such as COMPTIA A+, CompTIA N+, CompTIA Security+, MCSA, Network Security Associate, or other related security certifications.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) environment or a similar cybersecurity role.
Primary Function
The main role of this position is to protect digital assets and keep the cybersecurity infrastructure secure. This involves monitoring security alerts, detecting malicious activity on the company’s network and cloud-based environments, and analyzing information security tasks within the IT and communication infrastructure for threats and vulnerabilities.

- Respond to threats, attacks, and vulnerabilities in a timely and effective manner.
- Show a strong understanding of current trends in cybersecurity.
- Proactively monitor, detect, and respond to potential threats.
- Handle reporting and communication related to security incidents.
