Artisan: Electrical – North West Region (North West)

Description

You will be responsible for the electrical maintenance of all grain handling equipment in grain storage facilities.

Requirements

Required Minimum Education/Training

  • Qualified Electrician (Trade Certificate: Electrician)
  • Wireman’s Licence (3-phase Installation Electrician) is an advantage

Required Minimum Work Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience after obtaining your trade certificate
  • Previous experience in a grain handling facility is an advantage
  • Skills in solar and green energy installations

Key Performance Areas

  • Maintain all electrical equipment in silos
  • Carry out planned and emergency maintenance on silo equipment by inspecting silos, ordering the right spare parts, and replacing worn parts
  • Follow health and safety rules and ensure protective equipment is used as required
  • Manage assets and regularly inspect company vehicles and tools
  • Monitor employee performance, identify training needs, and handle fair disciplinary actions for any issues
