Casual General Worker (Non-Continuous Basis) (East London) Jobs

About the Role

Are you an unemployed local in East London? Montego Pet Nutrition (Pty) Ltd is offering you the chance to join our team as a Casual General Worker on a non-continuous basis.

In this role, you will help with various tasks that come up unexpectedly and last for a short time. You will be called in as needed, based on our requirements.

Conditions of Work

• Temporary: Hired for specific periods or projects as required – no guaranteed hours or fixed schedule.
• No Permanent Employment: This role does not lead to permanent employment.
• Payment: Paid only for the actual hours worked.

What You Will Do

Your duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Packing and handling stock.
• Assisting drivers with delivery paperwork.
• Loading and offloading trucks, including heavy lifting of bags up to 40kg.
• Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse and surrounding areas.
• Accompanying drivers on delivery routes, which may involve travel to distant locations.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For:

• Grade 12 (NQF4) or equivalent.
• Live in East London – must be available on short notice.
• Currently unemployed.
• Valid Code 10 (C1) license with PrDP or higher is a major advantage.
• Experience in warehousing, stock, or the FMCG industry is beneficial.
