The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) handles the registration of companies, co-operatives, and intellectual property rights such as trademarks, patents, designs, and copyright. It also maintains these registrations and discloses information from its business registers. Additionally, CIPC promotes education and awareness about company and intellectual property law.
CIPC, a member of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition, is committed to youth skills development. We provide graduates with opportunities to gain practical work experience to complement their studies. We invite applications for our 12-month Internship Programme. Interns will be based at our Sunnyside Office in Pretoria.
What is an Internship?
As approved by Cabinet in December 2002, this is a public service graduate work experience programme aimed at unemployed graduates. It offers students the chance to gain workplace exposure and apply the skills they have learned in their studies for future careers.
Who Can Benefit from the Programme?
- Unemployed South African graduates from higher education institutions who have completed their degrees or diplomas.
- Unemployed graduates with no prior work experience.
- Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
