Driver

Job Description

BKB is looking for a Driver to deliver livestock and equipment on time and safely. You will help with loading and unloading cattle and cattle pen equipment. You will also build pens at auctions and handle other tasks as needed.

Qualifications, Experience, and Requirements

  • Grade 10
  • Valid unendorsed Code 14 driver’s license
  • Valid South African Identity Document
  • Valid PDP (Public Driver’s Permit)
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the livestock industry
  • Fluent in two languages: English or Afrikaans and Zulu
  • Physically fit (must pass medical check)
  • Good interpersonal skills to build relationships with workers and clients
  • Able to use navigation apps to find roads
  • Willing to work weekends and odd hours
  • Willing to travel a lot and stay overnight if needed
  • Neat, punctual, and professional in appearance

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep company vehicles clean and well-maintained by following procedures
  • Load and unload livestock equipment at auctions and build pens
  • Complete and submit accounts and offloading tickets correctly
  • Manage fuel use efficiently
  • Handle other duties as required
