About Us:

The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment works to protect South Africa’s natural resources under Constitutional mandate. Our mission focuses on environmental conservation and sustainable resource management.

Position Requirements:

• National Diploma (NQ6) in Public Management/Administration or equivalent qualification
• 5+ years’ experience in information management (3 years at junior management level)
• Proven skills in project planning, stakeholder engagement, and data analysis
• Computer literacy with database/spreadsheet software expertise
• Knowledge of biodiversity management and public sector processes

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate international biodiversity agreements implementation
• Develop national biodiversity monitoring indicators and reporting systems
• Facilitate partnerships between scientific and policy stakeholders
• Manage stakeholder platforms for global environmental conventions
• Prepare detailed progress reports and strategic recommendations
