Job Description

A reputable mining company in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Winding Engine Driver to join their team. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining winder systems safely and efficiently. Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operations by following health, safety, and environmental standards.

<li PROMOTE a zero-harm safety culture through strict adherence to safety procedures and company policies.

<li Conduct regular inspections and testing of winder installations as required by law and operational needs.

• Participate in shift handovers and planning to ensure clear communication and safe task execution.
• Perform routine winder operations and maintenance according to guidelines and procedures.
• Maintain safe shaft transportation of personnel, materials, and ore.
• Adhere to quality control standards for reliable and efficient winder operations.

<li Accurately complete and submit all reports, defect logs, and incident documentation on time.

Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Winding Engine Driver in the mining industry (preference for gold mining experience)
• Extensive underground mining experience
• Valid Winding Engine Driver’s Certificate of Competency
• Onsetter Certificate
• Valid Driver’s License
