Driver – Code 14 (Johannesburg)

SA Metal Group, South Africa’s oldest and largest metal recycling company, is seeking motivated and professional Code 14 Drivers to join our Transport Team. With over a century of experience, we specialize in recycling ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate vehicles responsibly and ensure the safety of the load.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any issues.
• Load and offload materials and equipment.
• Comply with the Road Traffic Act and ensure the safety of other road users.
• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.
• Navigate effectively in Gauteng and surrounding areas.
• Be available for overtime as required.

Requirements:

• Matric certificate required.
• Valid, unendorsed Code 14 driver’s license with valid PDP.
• Minimum of 3 years of Code 14 driving experience.
• Hands-on approach and practical problem-solving skills.
• Experience driving manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to operate a Mounted Grab Crane, skip, or RoRo (advantageous).
• Experience in reversing a draw-bar trailer is required.
