The City of Cape Town, South Africa’s legislative capital and economic hub, invites graduates to join our Infrastructure Skills Development Programme in the Finance Department (3-year contract).
Position Requirements
- South African graduates (unemployed) with:
- National Diploma/BTech/Bachelor’s in Cost & Management Accounting/Finance
- 2 years’ experience in Local Government Finance
- Knowledge of MFMA regulations and Supply Chain Management
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
Key Responsibilities
- Implement financial controls per MFMA regulations
- Monitor departmental budgets and expenditure
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts
- Analyze income/expenditure patterns
- Facilitate policy implementation
- Maintain compliance documentation
Employment Details
- Contract Type: Fixed-term (36 months)
- Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
