Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Real Estate/Property Management or related field
- 5 years’ senior management experience in property/asset management
Key Competencies:
- Advanced knowledge of PFMA, GIAMA, DISPOSAL ACT, and property legislation
- Proven skills in strategic planning, financial management, and policy development
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities
- Experience in property disposal processes and revenue optimization
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement property management policies and strategies
- Oversee disposal of surplus properties and transfer of ownership
- Manage vacant state properties to prevent vandalism and illegal occupation
- Implement risk management strategies and ensure legal compliance
- Optimize revenue generation from state properties
- Lead a team of property management professionals
- Monitor budget expenditure and maintain asset databases
