Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree/B-Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 7)
  • Municipal Finance Management Certificate (advantageous)
  • 5-10 years senior management experience in public sector operations
  • Proven experience in infrastructure development and project management
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead Technical Services Department operations
  • Manage municipal infrastructure projects (water, sanitation, electricity)
  • Oversee R980 million capital budget implementation
  • Develop strategic plans aligned with municipal objectives
  • Supervise maintenance programs and service delivery

Preferred Skills

  • Strong financial management capabilities
  • Infrastructure development expertise
  • Strategic planning & performance monitoring
  • Team leadership & cross-department coordination
