Position: Supply Chain Administration Officer

Key Details

  • Job Type: Full Time
  • Minimum Qualification: National Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics (NQF 6)
  • Preferred Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7)
  • Experience: 2+ years in supply chain administration
  • Location: Gauteng

Core Responsibilities

Procurement Support

  • Process purchase requisitions and verify fund availability
  • Source quotations from certified suppliers via National Treasury database
  • Prepare purchase orders and monitor supplier deliveries

Bid Management

  • Compile bid documents and coordinate tender processes
  • Support bid evaluation committees with documentation and minutes
  • Prepare bid outcome reports and appointment letters

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to PFMA, Treasury regulations, and internal policies
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and meeting minutes
  • Update SCM tracking systems and process invoice payments

Team Collaboration

  • Provide cross-departmental SCM guidance
  • Mentor interns and assist colleagues during peak periods

Essential Requirements

  • National Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
  • Proven experience in government procurement processes
  • Working knowledge of SAGE PASTEL (advantageous)
  • Strong understanding of PFMA and PPPFA regulations
