Delivery Driver: Code 10 (Edenvale, JHB East Rand)

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to drive assigned trucks safely, conduct pre-inspection checks, deliver goods accurately and on time, maintain effective communication, uphold safety and compliance standards, and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, delivery receipts, and incidents.
• Communicate professionally with customers, warehouse personnel, and other stakeholders, addressing concerns promptly.
• Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs of assigned trucks and follow company procedures.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety standards, including traffic laws.
• Keep the truck clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary equipment and documents.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work environment.
• Participate in meetings, coaching, and training to support team goals.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent qualification.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the FMCG Retail industry.
• Valid Code 10 driver’s license with PDP.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, competitive, and dynamic environment.
• Fluent communication in English (written and verbal).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
