Job Description

We are seeking a high-caliber Code 14 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be based at our contract location and must meet the following requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 qualification
  • Code EC driver’s license with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
  • 3 years of experience driving ultra-heavy vehicles
  • 3 years of experience driving Superlink/Interlink/combination vehicles
  • Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
  • Knowledge of defensive driving techniques
  • Familiarity with emergency and defect reporting procedures
  • Ability to perform vehicle inspections and operate a fire extinguisher
  • Maximizing vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency
  • Proficiency in vehicle loading and offloading techniques
  • Own reliable transport to and from work
  • Clean criminal record
  • Medically fit

  • Prepare vehicle for trips and operate ultra-heavy duty vehicles
  • Load, transport, and offload goods
  • Handle required documentation and perform ancillary duties
  • Carry out all reasonable instructions from Supervisor
  • Work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
  • Maintain a safe driving record and clean criminal record
  • Ensure housekeeping of vehicles, uniforms, and PPE
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
  • Complete required processes:
    • Medical evaluation
    • USCS training modules
    • Induction processes
    • Practical driving evaluation
    • Verification of clean criminal record
