Position Details:
Employment Type: Full-time Permanent
Education Requirement: BEng/BSc Mechanical Engineering (NQF 8)
Professional Registration: ECSA Professional Engineer
Experience Needed: 8 years (5 years post-registration)
License Requirement: Valid Driver’s License
Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic plans for mechanical maintenance and project delivery
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of building systems
- Manage annual budgets up to R70 million
- Lead tender processes and contract management
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Implement performance management systems
Essential Qualifications:
- Professional registration with Engineering Council of SA
- Proven experience in mechanical systems management
- Strong financial management capabilities
- Excellent technical reporting skills
