Job Purpose

As a Driver at Sun International, you will be responsible for safely transporting guests to and from the hotel and external destinations. Your role is to ensure exceptional, personalized experiences for guests during their stay. This includes maintaining a clean and functional vehicle, greeting guests warmly, and providing professional service at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle, parking area, and porte cochère.
  • Check fuel levels and ensure the vehicle is ready for use.
  • Review guest arrival lists and VIP requirements daily.
  • Familiarize yourself with hotel facilities, promotions, and local directions.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules when needed.
  • Safely transport guests according to hotel policies.
  • Assist guests with luggage handling.
  • Report accidents and incidents promptly.
  • Log external trips and keep necessary documentation.
  • Engage with guests professionally, address their inquiries, and provide solutions.
  • Promote hotel facilities, products, and loyalty programs.
  • Maintain a friendly and respectful demeanor at all times.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate.
  • Valid Driver’s License (Code 10) with a clean driving record.
  • Public Drivers Permit (PDP) required.
  • Previous driving experience is essential.
  • Customer service experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Physical stamina to stand, drive, and lift luggage as needed.
  • Teamwork, patience, and stability under pressure.
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use GPS devices.
  • Sound knowledge of local areas and landmarks.
