About the Role
The Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (LEDET) seeks a dynamic professional to lead tourism development initiatives. This role drives destination growth and sector transformation across the Waterberg District.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional tourism strategies aligned with provincial objectives
- Coordinate destination infrastructure planning including signage systems
- Manage tourism route development and iconic site promotion
- Support community-based tourism projects and MSME development
- Facilitate tourism transformation programs and stakeholder engagement
- Oversee resource management in compliance with legislative frameworks
Requirements
- NQF Level 6 qualification in Tourism Management, Development Studies, or related discipline
- 3-5 years’ experience in tourism development at administrative officer level
- Valid driver’s license (exception for Persons with Disabilities)
- Proven track record in spatial planning and project coordination
