Job Title: Health Clinic Manager

Position Purpose

The Health Clinic Manager will oversee and manage the delivery of comprehensive primary healthcare services, implement quality improvement programs, and ensure excellent patient care in a multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise healthcare staff to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate clinical, educational, and research activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and staffing to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Monitor patient registration and support monitoring and evaluation processes.
  • Supervise nurses and facilitate student nurse training and performance evaluations.
  • Analyze health data, including program indicators, and report findings.
  • Ensure compliance with nursing standards, professional ethics, and legal requirements.
  • Prepare monthly and provincial reports for management.
  • Participate in policy development and ensure stakeholder engagement.
  • Oversee the implementation of Batho Pele Principles and patient rights.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 7-10 years of experience in nursing management, preferably in community health.
  • Diploma or Degree in General Nursing (Community Health, Psychiatry, and Midwifery).
  • Degree in Nursing Administration, Management, or Education is mandatory.
  • Diploma in Primary Health Care Nursing is required.
  • Dispensing Licence is mandatory.
  • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a General Nurse, Nurse Educator, or Community Health Nurse.
  • Masters in Community Public Health is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of PHC policies, legislation, and computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
