Key Requirements
- ◻ PhD in Biotechnology/Agronomy/Plant Production or related field
- ◻ Minimum 3 years post-MSc research experience
- ◻ 3-5 peer-reviewed publications in phytochemical analysis
- ◻ Expertise in LC-MS/GC-MS analytical techniques
- ◻ Proven track record in securing research funding
- ◻ Valid driver’s license
Core Responsibilities
Research Leadership:
- • Design and execute innovative research projects
- • Manage project budgets up to R2.5 million
- • Mentor postgraduate students and junior researchers
Technical Expertise:
- • Conduct advanced phytochemical analysis
- • Develop commercial applications for agricultural innovations
- • Establish national/international research partnerships
Preferred Qualifications
- • Experience with biologicals development
- • Knowledge of cultivation R&D processes
- • Registration with scientific professional body
