Position Purpose

Transnet Port Terminals is seeking dynamic and recently qualified graduates for a 24-month Young Professional-in-Training programme. This programme provides workplace experience through structured learning and organisational support.

Key Responsibilities

– Shadow various staff members and participate in learning experiences, meetings, and workshops.
– Execute project tasks effectively and collaborate with others to deliver quality work.
– Communicate with customers to understand their needs, manage expectations, and provide timely updates.
– Address queries professionally and efficiently.
– Provide general administrative support.
– Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and ethical standards.
– Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

– Honours or Master’s degree in Operations Research or Statistical Sciences.
– 0–1 year of relevant work experience.
– Must be a South African citizen.
– Age: 18 to 35 years.

Competencies

– Strong written and communication skills.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
– Ability to work well in a team.
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
