About SAHPRA

The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) is the nation’s medicine regulatory body established under the Medicines Act, 101 of 1965. We oversee the evaluation, registration, and monitoring of health products including medicines, medical devices, and clinical trials to ensure public health safety.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
• NQF Level 4 Qualification in Facilities Maintenance or equivalent
• Valid EB/B Code Driver’s License

Key Competencies

• Proven experience in general maintenance and repairs
• Working knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act
• Familiarity with facilities management principles
• Computer literacy (MS Office suite)
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills

Primary Responsibilities

Facilities Maintenance

• Conduct routine building inspections and maintenance
• Manage lift systems and HVAC maintenance coordination
• Handle furniture assembly, placement, and repairs
• Coordinate pest control and deep cleaning services

Equipment & Safety Management

• Maintain equipment inventory and storage facilities
• Conduct monthly OHS inspections and fire safety checks
• Manage access control systems and key registers

Administrative Duties

• Prepare weekly maintenance reports
• Participate in cost-saving initiatives
• Maintain compliance with quality assurance protocols
