We’re seeking an experienced finance professional for a 1-year fixed-term contract to strengthen our financial management capabilities.
Position:
Deputy Director: Financial Reporting
Job Type: Contract (12 months)
Education: National Diploma/Degree in Financial Management/Accounting (NQF 6 equivalent)
Experience: 4+ years in accounting environment
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Sector: Public Finance Management
Essential Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Proven experience with internal controls and risk management
- Thorough knowledge of PFMA and Treasury Regulations
- Experience in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Supervisory/team leadership experience
- CA(SA) qualification (advantageous)
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Prepare accurate financial statements and regulatory reports
- Maintain compliance with PFMA and GRAP standards
- Manage financial systems integration (BAS, LOGIS, PERSAL)
- Oversee account reconciliations and audit processes
Leadership & Compliance:
- Develop and implement financial policies
- Coordinate with internal/external auditors
- Lead interdepartmental financial reporting initiatives
- Maintain updated SOPs for financial processes
