Job Description

RCL Foods is seeking a driven, highly energized, and customer-focused Code 10 Driver Salesman to join their baking business unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting and selling bread and confectionery products, calling on customers, taking orders, and delivering products, often for cash. This role is based in Empangeni and reports to the Distribution Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe vehicle at all times
• Ensure adherence to road safety rules and company health and safety standards
• Supervise and manage van assistants
• Provide excellent customer service and identify opportunities to increase sales
• Ensure accurate delivery of stock and handle cash transactions securely
• Maintain proper documentation for deliveries, transactions, and vehicle checks
• Work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and overtime as required

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to assist in other areas of the business as needed
• Compliance with health and safety standards
• Report any health issues that may affect driving ability
