About the Role

This apprenticeship aims to equip you with the skills to work independently as a competent, qualified artisan. You will receive training to plan and execute welding tasks, prepare work sites, use various tools, and maintain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare work sites and materials
• Use hand, power, and measuring tools effectively
• Inspect and maintain trade-related equipment and installations

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications Required:

• N2 Subjects: Mathematics (Pure), Engineering Science, Plating & Structural Drawing/Engineering Drawing, Metal worker’s Theory
• N3-N6 Subjects: Mathematics (Pure), Engineering Science, Plating & Structural Drawing, Mechano-Technology
• NCV Level 4: Fundamentals, First Additional Language (English), Mathematics (Pure), Life Orientation, Vocational subjects (includes Welding)
• Technical Matric: Mechanical Technology (Welding and Metal Work), Life Orientation, Mathematics (Pure), Engineering Graphics, Home Language, First Additional Language, Physical Science
• Age: 18 – 35 years
