Electrician Apprentice at Transnet
Transnet, the backbone of South Africa’s freight logistics chain, is seeking an Electrician Apprentice to join their team. As the country’s largest transport infrastructure operator, Transnet plays a vital role in ensuring world-class standards in the transport industry.
Position Purpose
The apprenticeship program is designed to equip learners with the skills to become a Competent Qualified Artisan. As an Electrician Apprentice, you will learn to plan, install, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare work sites, tools, and materials for electrical tasks
- Install, assemble, and test electrical equipment and control systems
- Maintain, modify, and repair electrical equipment and installations
Qualifications Required
You must have one of the following:
- N2 Certificate in Electrical Trade Theory, Industrial Electronics, Engineering Science, and Mathematics (Pure)
- N3-6 Certificate in Industrial Electronics, Mathematics (Pure), Engineering Science, Electrotechnology, or Industrial Technology/Electronics
- NCV Level 4 in Electrical Principles & Practice, Workshop Practice, Electronic Control & Digital Electronics, and Optional subjects
- Technical Grade 12 with Mathematics (Pure), Electrical Technology, Physical Science, and Engineering and Graphic Design
