About Us
The Judicial Inspectorate for Correctional Services (JICS) is an independent oversight body responsible for monitoring correctional operations and protecting the rights of incarcerated persons. We report directly to the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee and Minister of Correctional Services.

Independent Correctional Centre Visitor – Frankfort

Contract Type: 36-month Fixed Term
Salary: R85,620 per annum (Level 5 – 3/8th) + 37% benefits allowance
Minimum Requirements:
• Matric certificate
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean criminal record
• Experience in social services/community work (advantageous)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular prison inspections
- Handle inmate complaints and concerns
- Monitor compliance with correctional regulations
- Maintain accurate visitation records
- Submit detailed reports to management
