Dis-Chem Pharmacies, a leading pharmaceutical retailer in South Africa, is looking for an experienced Store Cleaner to join their team at Baywest Mall. As a Store Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment within the store, ensuring a positive experience for both customers and staff.

Job Details:

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness across all store areas, including the shop floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.
• Develop cleaning routines to ensure consistent hygiene standards.
• Keep the canteen and restrooms clean and well-stocked.
• Be available during operational hours to address cleaning needs as they arise.
• Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment for specific tasks.
• Ensure safety by displaying “Wet Floor” signs when cleaning.
• Provide excellent customer service with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• At least 6 months of cleaning experience.
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Basic customer service skills.
• Ability to work retail hours.
• Familiarity with an additional language relevant to the area (advantageous).
