Senior Officer: Field Case Management – East London
About Us:
The Road Accident Fund is a government-mandated insurer providing coverage for traffic collision liability in South Africa (excluding property damage). We support accident victims through medical care and rehabilitation services.
Position Details:

- 🔹 Required Education: National Certificate/Higher National Certificate/Bachelor’s Degree
- 🔹 Experience Required: 4+ years medical environment experience
- 🔹 Location: East London, Eastern Cape

Core Responsibilities:
Case Management:
- • Activate undertaking certificates and create case reports
- • Conduct home visits and claimant education programs
- • Coordinate medical referrals and rehabilitation services
Patient Support:
- • Monitor post-discharge recovery and medication plans
- • Assess home/car modification needs for patients
- • Facilitate caregiver appointments and hospital transfers
Financial Oversight:
- • Verify service provider invoices per RAF guidelines
- • Prevent billing abuses through careful monitoring
- • Analyze treatment costs for operational improvements
Requirements:
- • Nursing/Allied Health degree or diploma
- • Valid HPCSA registration
- • 4+ years clinical experience
- • Experience in managed healthcare systems
- • Code 8 driver’s license (must have own transport)
