Assistant Manager: Building & Facilities Management

Position Overview:

We seek a qualified professional to oversee building maintenance operations at our Gauteng facility. This role reports to the Building and Facilities Maintenance Manager and requires hands-on management of maintenance activities and contractor performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage maintenance tools and equipment inventory
  • Develop and implement infrastructure improvement plans
  • Supervise maintenance scheduling and quality control
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and SOPs
  • Monitor contractor performance against service agreements
  • Assist in budget management and resource optimization
  • Lead team development initiatives and project execution

Requirements:

  • Advanced Diploma/Certificate in Technical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil fields
  • Valid trade test certification
  • 3-5 years maintenance operations experience
  • 1-2 years in supervisory role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid Code B driver’s license
