Position Summary
Coordinate and oversee setup, execution, and completion of LV 400V electrical network operations in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct team preparation of work sites and safety signage installation
- Install/maintain electrical infrastructure including cables, transformers, and substations
- Perform LV cable jointing, line tensioning, and switchgear maintenance
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement repair solutions
- Supervise staff performance and maintain discipline
- Ensure compliance with OHS Act and municipal safety protocols
Essential Requirements
- Electrical Trade Test certification
- 2+ years electrical field experience
- Valid C1 + PrDP driver’s license
- ORHVS Certificate
- Mobile Elevating Work Platform certification
- Proficiency in two Western Cape official languages
Preferred Qualifications
- N4 Electrical Engineering + Wireman’s License
- 3+ years electrical maintenance experience
- Crane Operator certification
- EC driver’s license
