Job Description

We are seeking a reliable Driver Assistant to join our liquor distribution team in George, Garden Route. The role involves assisting with loading, unloading, and ensuring timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time to meet delivery schedule deadlines.
  • Ensure smooth handover of deliveries from the warehouse to the vehicle.
  • Accurately pack deliveries to prevent damage.
  • Carry a tablet and completed paperwork for all deliveries before departing the warehouse.
  • Deliver orders to customers correctly and on time, as per the schedule, and handle collections as requested by the supervisor or manager.
  • Interact with customers professionally to encourage repeat business.
  • Pick up and record defective or current wine stock as instructed.
  • Daily tasks include cleaning the vehicle interior and ensuring the vehicle is in pristine condition.
  • Immediately report any accidents or incidents involving the vehicle and manage the situation according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Always wear the required uniform and maintain a professional appearance.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
  • Code 10/14 Driver’s License (Preferred)
