Position Overview

Lead strategic procurement operations and contract management for infrastructure development in South Africa’s Western Cape region.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in relevant field
  • Valid Code B driver’s license (accommodation for applicants with disabilities available)
  • Proven experience in:
    • Supply Chain Management systems
    • Public sector procurement regulations
    • Team leadership and financial management

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee departmental acquisitions and contracting processes
  • Manage supplier relationships and bid committee coordination
  • Ensure compliance with PFMA and Treasury Regulations
  • Develop operational strategies for supply chain optimization
  • Lead team of procurement specialists

Required Competencies

  • Expertise in public sector financial management
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of constitutional governance frameworks
  • Proficiency in government procurement systems
  • Stakeholder engagement capabilities

Remuneration

All-inclusive annual package: R 896,436 (Level 11)
