Position Overview
Role: Employee Relations Intern
Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Employment Type: Full-Time
Field: Human Resources / Graduate Development
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate
- National Diploma/Degree in Labour Relations, HR Management, Industrial Relations or related field
- Basic computer skills (MS Office suite)
- Strong interest in employment law and workplace relations
- Excellent communication abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Support HR team with disciplinary hearings and grievance procedures
- Maintain accurate employee relations records
- Research labour legislation updates
- Prepare documentation for CCMA/Bargaining Council cases
- Assist with staff training on HR policies
- Produce meeting minutes within 48 hours
- Analyze emerging trends in labour law
Learning Outcomes
- Practical experience in workplace conflict resolution
- Exposure to collective bargaining processes
- Understanding of SA labour legislation application
- Professional development in HR administration
