About the Opportunity

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) invites qualified candidates to apply for its 18-month Work Integrated Learning Programme designed for recent Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College graduates. This programme offers practical workplace experience to complement academic qualifications.

Field of Study: Management Assistant N6 (3 positions available)

Programme Requirements

  • Completed N6 qualification in Management Assistant
  • Maximum 1 year of unemployment since completing N6 qualification
  • Must submit:
    • Certificate of academic achievement
    • College letter confirming intention to complete diploma qualification
  • People with disabilities strongly encouraged to apply (medical confirmation letter required)

Programme Benefits

  • Monthly stipend: R5,500
  • Practical workplace experience in national meteorological services
  • Exposure to operational environment of a world-class weather service

Important Information

  • Location: SAWS Centurion Offices
  • Participants must arrange own accommodation and transportation
  • Programme does not guarantee permanent employment upon completion
  • Programme duration: 18 months
